This week I’m talking lipstick. Something that I rarely leave the house without. More specifically, liquid lipsticks. I find that liquid ones last sooooo much longer than ordinary ones, so they are usually my weapon of choice.
Lord & Berry
My fave of them all. My Lord & Berry liquid lipstick is a lovely deep nude shade, which I’m happy to wear every single day. It also glides on flawlessly in a matter of seconds. And the third selling point that makes this my go-to product is the fact the colour stays put for a whole day of work. I just pop it on in the morning and then only have to re-apply if I’m going out on the evening.
Kat Von D
I’ve got the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in two different shades – both equally fabulous. The red for evenings out or when I’m feeling particularly extra. Then there’s the gorgeous mauve shade that I like to rock in winter. If you haven’t tried anything from Kat Von D Beauty before, I would definitely recommend – I also really rate their legendary eyeliner.
This baby is my go-to when I want a statement red lip. I sported it on a recent night out and every time I wear my Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color I get a compliment. The colour glides on easily and it manages to last all day without going horrifically cakey.
What’s a bit different about Bobbi Brown is that they offer these liquid lipsticks in both matte and shine options. I personally prefer the matte finish, but the gloss is nice for a change. You can always rely on Bobbi to provide a good selection of shades (so just be prepared to be at the counter for a while, making your decision!).
This may be a brand you have not heard of, but you’re going to want to know about it. Their HD Lip Tint Matte lipsticks are fabulous! I first tried Inglot when I worked in magazines and we would get sent press samples quite a lot, and now I’m hooked. I’ve seen that they also have a whole collaboration range with Jennifer Lopez, so that might be worth checking out too!
My love for Barry M doesn’t stop at nail varnishes, in fact, I’m a big fan of a lot of their products. Granted, the Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Paint maybe doesn’t last as long as some of the others, but for a bargain price you can’t really complain. If you are new to liquid lipsticks and just want to test the waters, I would suggest popping into your local drugstore and picking up one from good old Barry.
I hope this round-up has helped you in your quest to find the perfect lippy. If you have any other suggestions for beauty topics you’d like me to cover, just comment below.
