Hello my beauties!
I thought I would make this video to show you how I do my make-up on a daily basis. As I was back visiting friends and family in Bristol for the weekend when I filmed this, the beauty products I’ve used here aren’t necessarily the ones I use all the time, but I still managed to create my usual beauty look.

Here’s a little step-by-step guide, explaining what I used (and how I used it).
Primer
I ALWAYS use a primer. My make-up would literally slide off my face without it. For me, it’s important to apply it in the t-zone area, as this is where I get a bit shiny/greasy.
Foundation
I’ve recently just purchased a No7 Instant Radiance Foundation and the one I was using before was Clarins – whichever brand, I tend to go for ones with a lightweight, non-cakey formula (especially in the summer months).
Concealer
Eye bags? Concealer can fix it. Blemishes? Concealer can fix it. Dark spots? Concealer can fix it. Late credit card payments? Sadly, concealer can’t fix that, but it does do a hell of a job when it comes to making me look presentable.
Bronzer
I’m a huge bronzer fan – I feel like I really need it to give my (slightly moon-shaped) face a bit of definition. I apply it in the hollows of my cheeks, across my hairline/forehead and also along my jawline.
Blusher
Most people seem to choose bronzer or blusher, but I actually opt for both. I go heavy on the bronzer and use a quick sweep of blush to bring colour to the apples of my cheeks.
Eyelash curlers
My naturally straight lashes need all of the help they can get. These Kiko Milano babies come everywhere with me – they are cheap and cheerful and create the perfect curl every time.
Eyeshadow primer
The key to long-lasting eyeshadow is all in the prep. I never apply eyeshadow now without priming first. I don’t think there’s a need to spend a lot of money on an eyeshadow primer – just something for the powder to cling to.
Eyeshadow
As you’ll see from my five essential beauty products post, I absolutely treasure my Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette, but when I don’t have that to hand, this Maxfactor Nude Palette is my go-to. I particularly love the pretty pink shades that are ultra-pigmented.
Mascara
I try and choose a mascara that is lightweight, so that I don’t lose the curl that I’ve made with my eyelash curlers. My faves include Mii, Wunder2 and Revlon – they all focus on length rather than masses of volume.
Lipliner
There’s no point spending a small fortune on a flashy lipstick if you’re not going to use a lipliner to get the finish right. I always line my lips for the perfect lippy application.
Lipstick
When it comes to lip colour, pinky nudes and corals are my fave shades to wear daily, and I then I quite like going for a pop of red for a night out.
Highlight
Like the icing on top of a cake, highlighter is the perfect final touch. I tend to use a liquid highlighter for maximum impact and I apply it to the top of my cheekbones and underneath my eyebrows – and sometimes on my cupid’s bow to fake a fuller pout!
So, that’s a rundown of my usual beauty routine – from barefaced to beautified in 12 simple steps! You can check out the full list of the products I’ve used in my YouTube video description.
