Neal’s Yard Remedies Mother’s Balm Review – My baby bump favourite

So, the news is out there, I’m pregnant! And no, that’s not why I did dry January, but it was certainly a good warm-up.

I’m not sure how much of mum-life I’ll be sharing (I’ll see if I have time) but I did want to share with you the bump product I’ve been loving.

I’ve started moisturising my stomach area every day in a bid to keep stretch marks at bay, although I am aware that if you’re going to get them, the creams and potions will be no match, but we shall see.

Here’s my baby bump favourite…

When I found out I was pregnant, I stealthily slipped into Boots and picked up a My Little Coco bump butter, but I really didn’t get on with it – as I found it quite thick and heavy.

Then, while in the office one day, one of my very kind colleagues gave me a Neal’s Yard product she was sent from a PR, and she recommended it for mamas-to-be specifically.

I tried the Neal’s Yard Remedies Mother’s Balm right away, and I’ve been using it religiously ever since.

The first thing you’ll notice is the incredible smell! It’s like stepping into a spa each time you open the lid. Heavenly!

The texture is quite strange I will be honest – you dip your fingers in and it’s a balm and it instantly turns to an oil-like consistency with the warmth of your hands.

When applying it is a little greasy, I will admit, but it feels buttery-soft and it does sink into skin unlike many other butters and balms.

I usually apply and night, so there’s no worry about the slightly oily residue and by the morning my skin feels soooo soft. I have no idea if it will actually stop me getting stretch marks but I’m going to continue to apply it and hope for the best.

I’ve actually just read on the website that it says apply twice daily for best results… Brb off to moisturise!
