2026 New Year’s Resolutions

We’re about to wave goodbye to 2025 and usher in a new year and I’m taking this opportunity to set some intentions. No massive life overhauls, just some practical, do-able changes. But first, have I stuck to my 2025 promises? One and two? Yes. Three, four and five? Absolutely not! Oops. Read them here.

Introducing my 2026 New Year’s resolutions…

Get fit, again 

In November, I rejoined the gym for the first time since having my child over two years ago. While I’ve worked out at home since around 6 weeks postpartum, getting back to classes and gym machines feels SO good. I’m determined to make 2026 when I get fit again. Physically strong and able to run a 5k are my loose goals.  

Step up my packed lunch game 

My son attends a childminder when I work, and I send him with packed lunch. I feel like I’ve got stuck in a rut of sending him off with the same kinda thing each time and I’d like to get more creative with what I’m making. See pictures below for some of the lunches he’s had in 2025. Super moms of Insta, I’m looking at you for inspo! Also, I’m a big BBC Good Food fan, and they have tonnes of ideas on their website that I’m going to add to my to-try list.

Start investing 

This is something that’s been on my mind to look into for a while now. It is one of those things that you know you should be doing, but find it hard to know where to start. This year, I’m going to do my research and take the plunge. I want to set aside a small portion each month that automatically gets invested – something long term that can quietly build in the background.
