It’s time for me to set my intentions for the next year, and I thought I’d hold myself accountable by writing them down…
1. Improve my son’s sleep routine
This is a biggie for the New Year. My darling boy is an angel but the one thing we struggle with sometimes is sleep. He’s a light sleeper who much prefers to snuggle on us rather than go down in his cot. We’ve had stints where he sleeps independently but it’s not enough. We will tackle this!

2. Stop swearing (as much)
Our little walking, talking sponge is picking up words at a rate of knots so it’s time to curb our swearing. ‘Tis a shame to be honest as I love a curse word but we definitely don’t want a foul-mouthed one-year-old.
3. Delete unwanted photos in my camera roll
Any other mums have an INSANE amount of pictures of their bubbas that they never get around to organising and deleting? Think I might need to book a day off work for this level of life admin to be honest.

4. Have dedicated date nights
Our son is 13 months now and especially with the aforementioned sleep troubles, we’ve found it tricky to make time for one another. We’ve both agreed we need to make some more effort for us time – from cosy film nights to actual out out dates.
5. Use my ‘me time’ for exercising
I want to step up my exercise schedule in 2025 and it’s mainly because I miss it so much! I won’t be committing to anything more than a 30-min workout here and there, but I just want to start doing something for me, not just working or being a mum. YouTube workouts here I come…
What are your 2025 intentions?
