This week we are talking concealers. This is one make-up item that I definitely cannot live without! First things first, I’m sorry to break the news that one miracle, does-it-all-concealer simply doesn’t exist. Well, if it does, please tell me?! Because I haven’t come across it… For me, concealer is used in different areas for different reasons, so it seems only right that I would need more than one product. Here are the three concealers I use on a regular basis.
With early starts to make it to the gym and (occasional) late nights for after work drinks, my eyes need all of the help they can get. I have an eye cream by Kiehl’s that is supposed to help with brightness but I usually still need a concealer to hide those dark circles properly. Now, Vincent Longo May be a brand you’ve never heard of, but it’s about time you did. I absolutely love my Vincent Longo Liquid Canvas Concealer. This stuff is AMAZING! I paint the concealer on in a triangle under my eye and it works wonders. The easiest way to cheat eight hours sleep!
On the spot
Then comes the concealer mission that’s needed for pesky spots – and boy do I get my fair share! Although, my skin has improved massively since I started using apple cider vinegar as a toner (see the before and after pics here). Ever since I tried this Clarins Instant Concealer one a couple of years ago, I’ve never looked back. It’s the perfect texture for smoothing over pimples and spots and it doesn’t leave skin looking cakey.
For a while I suffered with annoying spots right in the middle of my cheeks (yeah, thanks for that) and I really used to struggle because I’d apply concealer but then once my bronzer or blusher was applied, I’d almost be rubbing it away a revealing the spot again. I found the perfect solution with this amazing palette. It’s Revolution’s Ultra Cover and Conceal Palette and I’ve purchased it in light-medium. There’s a range of shades so you can perfectly mix and match for all areas of your face. Plus, did I mention that it’s only £6?!
I hope you enjoyed this concealer round-up! Please comment below to let me know what you’d like to see more of on my blog – fitness, fashion, beauty?
